My Recent “Empties”

So a lot of people review their “favorites” and I also do that! But I think actually going through a WHOLE product speaks wonders. To me it means that it really is worth getting and using since I used the whole thing until it was empty! So I figured I’d share my recent “empties” with you! If you have any more questions that I don’t answer, then please let me know! I LOVE TALKING TO YOU GUYS!! That’s my favorite part about this whole blogging process!

Plus! The holidays are coming up, so maybe these products could be a good gift as well!

LET’S BEGIN!

  1. Morphe Continuous Setting Mist ($15)

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_ad

THIS STUFF IS MAKEUP CANDY! I can’t get enough of it. George got this for me when I mentioned seeing it in a Jaclyn Hill video about two months ago and I already have two empties! I have never used a better setting spray that seriously makes me feel comfortable wearing a full face of makeup all day. I usually spray it on twice. Once, let it dry, then again and I get going. This is probably my favorite empty out of all of these that I’ll talk about!

If you have any makeup lovers (or you are yourself) BUY THIS! IT’S AMAZING!

2. Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($25)UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_b4

I think that I have purchased about 4 of these since they announced this mascara a couple of years ago. I will be honest and say that this is my SECOND favorite mascara of all time (following Better Than Sex by Two Faced). I usually use those two together. But if you’re looking for a very natural look, using this alone is KEY. It lengthens and seperates perfectly and it’s perfect for days that you don’t want to wear a lot of makeup.

3. Nomad Highlight in Midnight Sun ($17) <— Full product, not this small vvv

I got this mini sample size in an Ipsy bag a couple of months ago! I think it was 4 or 5 months ago that I got it and it has lasted me this long! You use so little and it really makes an impact! I’m using the Morphe Mini Highligher ($7) in Spark (which I also got from Ipsy) right now, and I would honestly say that I like the Morphe one more, but up until I started using the Morphe, this was my go-to highlight!

4. Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Eyeshadow Primer ($24)

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_b1

I will be completely honest. I don’t use eyeshadow primer everyday. Probably like once a week when I do a BIG eyeshadow look. Eyeshadow primer definetly works wonders, but sometimes I’m just too lazy. That being said, I think I had this primer for about a year and a half. The smallest amount goes a long way and it really does keep the shadow from creasing and it stays in place!

5. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Powder ($24)UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_b3

So I have 1. super dry skin 2. anal about my makeup creasing 3. hate flashback in pictures. & this product helped with all of those problems! It makes your pores so much less visable and I just feel comfortable and light wearing it!

7. Jersey Shore Balm in Peppermint ($10)UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_b2

So! I am pretty high strung with moisturizing my lips! Especially in the winter! I have had two of these lip balms. This one and one in lavender. THE BEST PART!: They’re made with essential oils! I use this one in the morning, I use the lavender before bed and I use my Kopari Lip Glossy during the day! This peppermint one just wakes me up and I don’t usually have to worry about moisturizing my lips until about 1 pm when I apply it around 6 a.m.!

6. Marios Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel ($14) <— for 8 fl oz, not 2!UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_b7

I am ALWAYS on the hunt for good skincare since I battle with pretty annoying adult acne. This has been a product I have been using since one of my college roommates, Jeslyn, used it! And I have loved it ever since! I usually use it as a second cleanser. So I usually use my Philosphy Microdilivery Exfoliating Face Wash ($28) (<– but tends to be on sale at Ulta) first, and then use this second, and my face feels AMAZING! I had this for about 5 months and this was only the 2 oz bottle!

6. S factor Sily Smooth Moisture Serum ($23.50)

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_ac

You guys!!!!! THIS. STUFF. SAVED. MY. HAIR. AND!!!! It lasted me over two years!!! This is my secret to dying my hair since I was 16 and having healthy hair. Nowadays, I’ll be honest, my hair is a lot more dry since I started using bleach to get lighter, BUT before that, it was healthy and strong for 5 years! I highly recommend. I just put a pump all over my hair and ends and it works wonders!! This brand in general has been amazing for my hair.

7. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream ($84) UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_ae

Okay. So. I know this is pretty pricey, but here me out. I had this fragrance for 5 years. Literally one spray at the beginning of each day, and I got complements allll day. If you want to invest in a very fresh-scented fragrance, then I highly recommend.

Right now, I am using Acqua di Gioia  and that is also a very fresh-scented perfume!

Those are all of my empties! I hope this helped with ideas!

November Ipsy Bag Review

Hey friends!

So I have mentioned before that I am a huge Ipsy advocate. I have been ordering bags for over a year now & continue to be impressed.

That being said, after over a year, Ipsy has really learned what I like and don’t like base don my reviews on the site, but I figured I would share them here too since these are products you can also purchase seperatley!

This month, I got 6 products since i redeemed some points for an extra item that I got to select (you earn points by reviewing products on their wesbsite).

LET’S GET STARTED

  1. Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream
    IMG_8706

What is it?

  • It’s a moisturizer!
  • It’s made out of kale leaf extract which is rick in vitamins C,E, and K, so it’s supposed to “nourish, brighten, protect, and soften your skin”
  • also made out of spinach leaf to “help rejuvenate skin and imrpove radiance.”
  • It’s supposed to look good under makeup too

My Review:

  • So don’t get me wrong, my DRY DRY skin LOVES moisturizers, so it loved this one! I have been using it right after I get out of the shower to lock in moisture.
  • It feels nice when I first put it on, BUT after a couple minutes it feels like the moisture is gone and my skin gets dry again. So i go back to my holy-grail moisturizer CeraVe.
  • It definetly makes me skin feel nourished and healthy, but I really hate having dry skin, so I don’t love it.

My overall rating: 3/5

2.   Pixi by Petra LipLift Max in Honey Sheen

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_bd

  • 04 oz
  • Formula: not sticky, smooth, actually plumps lift
    • It’s made with aloe (to heal), jojoba (to moisturize), and chamomile (to soothe).
    • Tingly peppermint feeling on the lips
    • Lips feel very refreshed
  • Packaging: cute signature pastel green
  • Applicator: not my favorite. Super stiff and straight.
  • Champagne gloss color.
  • It’s been my go to lip gloss this past week

This brand in general:

  • I don’t use it very often, but I might splurge and get another one of these LipLift Max glosses since it really is wonderful. I know it’s available at Target. I’ve used eyeshadows from this brand & I would give those a 3/5.

Overall Rating: I gave it a 5/5

3.  DERMADELI Pumpkin Seed Serum

100% cruelty-free & vegan!

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_c2

  • 7 ml
  • Ingredients: Organic extra virgin pumpkin seed oil, Pomegranate (Punica granatum) seed oil, Tocotrienols, Tocopherol (Alpha-D-Tocopherol, Vitamin E), Astaxanthin, Lycopene, Xanthophyll (Lutein), Alpha Lipoic Acid [R-(+)-], Beta Carotene.
  • Packaging: super nifty and easy to use.
  • I have really dry skin, so beauty oils are my BFF especially during the cold months.
    • This one I put on before bed and when I wake up or I mix it in with my foundation.
    • It feels very smooth and sinks into skin immediately which is super effective.
  • Pumpkin seed extract is supposed to help with reducing inflammation and fight acne.
    • I can do a review on it later to let you know if it actually does those things after a couple weeks if you want! Let me know!

This brand in general: I have never used it, but I am very excited about it!

Overall Rating: 5/5

4. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Quirky

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_bf

  • It’s made out of natural clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River.
  • I LOVE this blush
  • My preffered shade of blush for my skin type (natural light-medium) is peach-toned. & this blush is so beautiful.
  • The size of the blush is actually a very hefty amount.
  • I also LOVE Tarte cosmetics, so I was very excited about this one.
  • It’s also very easy to build which is very great for every person.

Overall Rating: 5/5

5. Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Leave-in mask

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_be

  • it’s supposed to strengthen and moisturize the hair.
  • I’ve used it only twice to be completely honest, and I was extremely impressed with it. I have pretty dry hair becasue ofmy history of coloring it, and usually when I use leave in conditoners or masks, I notice a difference, but not with this one.
  • It smells good for those who are particualar smells!
  • I’ll give it another chance, but for now

Overall Rating: 1/5

6. Caitè London Mini Translucent Setting Powder in Hideout

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_c3

  • It is super light-weight and really does keep my make-up in place for a long time!
  • It also doesn’t give me any flashback!
  • Ipsy says it can double as a dry-shampoo too, but I haven’t tried that yet because…..
  • THERE IS SO LITTLE PRODUCT!
  • So that being said, the product itself is effective and great, but because it was so small, I have to give it an

Rating of Whole Bag

4/5

The products were all that I wanted and would use, so I was very satisfied with it!

I did not like the bag itself because personally I am not a hearts person.

The products that I love, I LOVE, and the others were just mediocre, but I am not gonna lie, I will continue using becuase they are effective except for the moisturizer.
