Hi everyone! Long time no talk! Happy SUMMER!!!
So, I have been more active recently and have tried different leggings out during my workouts. It’s always so hard to find the right leggings for working out, so I thought I could help you out by talking about my 5 favorites!
**I base all of these leggings off of doing an Orange Theory workout (Running, Rowing, Free-weight lifting, and abs) or just going on long-distance runs.
What I look for in leggings:
- High waisted that STAYS IN PLACE
- Masking sweat
- Hiding cellulite
- *Personally, that if they’re supposed to be full-length, that they actually are on me. (I’m 5’11”)
My TOP 5
Aerie “Play Real Me” High Wasited 7/8 Legging

These high-waisted leggings are light-weight and soft but still an athletic material. They are a very very good dupe for the Lululemon “Align” leggings which is why I put these in the top 5 instead of the Aligns. They are not as much compression leggings as I like, but they do pretty much stay in place during a workout and mask most sweat. (I would give it a 4/5) in sweat masking. They unfortunately do not hide as much cellulite as I would like, but for the price and performance, I highly recommend! These leggings are also available in tall and short lengths!
I would wear these for yoga or lifting.
Lululemon “Train Times”

These are high-waisted leggings that are a thick material that don’t need adjusting during a cardio workout. Other leggings sometimes feel droopy at the waist or in the legs, these stay in place throughout the entire workout. Out of all the leggings mentioned, these are best for masking sweat and feeling like your legs are still getting “aired out”. They have an adjustable waist which allows you to pick how tight you want the waist to be. It also masks all cellulite, so you don’t need to worry about what you’re showing the world. These are the priciest of the 5, but if I am going to be completely honest, they are the absolute best ad 100% worth the money if you want all of these things in a workout legging.
I would wear these for any workout.
Gymshark “Energy + Seamless”

These are the highest waisted leggings out of the 5 at a medium price-range. When I first started working out, these were my go-to leggings because they are high in compression, don’t budge for the most part, and are a 4/5 in sweat masking. The only issue for me was that they were a little too tight for me and that they didn’t hide some cellulite. For you tall girls, they are more than long enough in the full-length version!
I would wear these for lifting.
Gymshark “Flex” Legging

I just discovered these not too long ago and I love them! They are high waited, don’t budge at all, and are very very comfortable to wear. I love wearing these for workouts that require a lot of movement because I know they won’t move. The only thing is that they don’t mask cellulite at all. If you don’t care about that, then I highly recommend these! For you tall girls, they are more than long enough in the full-length version!
I would wear these for any workout.
Old Navy “High Rise Compression”

These are a gem!! They are super affordable and very big competitors for the higher priced leggings out there. They are a thick material, high in compression, high waisted, and hide cellulite. I always find myself reaching for these when I do any work out. They do not budge with any workout. Some version of these leggings are a bit too tight for me, so I would recommend going into the store and trying them on before purchasing! For you tall girls, they are more than long enough in the full-length version!
I would wear these for any workout.
If you found this post beneficial or if you buy any of these leggings, let me know!!
